new beginnings.

Today was my first day at my new job. It was very exciting! I got up extra early to make sure I had enough time to get there as it's kind of a drive from Cedarburg. The morning started out with the usual orientation/new employee training type stuff but the afternoon we jumped in with design work right away. A lot of it is just systematical things I'll have to get used to, but the rest will definitely be a learning experience for me as it's more web based than I thought it was going to be. But no worries, I've been wanting to learn more about this stuff anyways, I've just never had the time. What better opportunity than this!

I'm excited to start working on some real projects that will be used for real clients and really excited to have my independence back with design and on the job in general. I'll keep you posted with how the rest of the week goes but for now let me just say that I am feeling very optimistic and hopeful that this job was definitely the right decision!
