The past 3 years have been a trip. And let me tell you, they really flew by. I started as a part time specialist and changed roles several times in the past few years the later 2 years spent in training and technical support. It was kind of intimidating at first - working with a bunch of creative, technologically savvy people. But all of these people slowly became my friends, and some of them even like my second family, apple being my second home. It's cool going to work everyday and seeing your friends. My favorite part about my job has always been and will always be the people. But like everything else, time goes on and things change.
People start to chase their dreams or pursue other passions in life - leaving to start a non-profit organization, landing their dream job in LA, going back to school to teach special education, or even something as simple as moving to another state just to explore the world outside of Milwaukee. Truthfully these people have inspired me and taught me that it's ok to leave the nest, the comfort of the position your in and find your true passion in life. It's kind of like going to the pool. You don't want to be the first one in - because the water might be too cold, but you don't want to be the last - because by the time you get in all the fun is had. So I decided to take a chance, to pursue my dream of one day owning a non-profit design & advertising agency and take an opportunity for a new career in graphic design.
Who knows what the future holds, and I know it will take a long time to reach my ultimate goal, but for now this is the perfect opportunity to get on that path. I will sincerely miss every single one of my co-workers, but I know that right now this is the best opportunity for me, and I'm excited for the next chapter in my life.
