This weekend I bought a motorcycle. A '73 Honda 350 twin to be exact. A beautiful golden vintage bike. I saw this bike a year ago in a friend of our's garage and fell in love. The look and color just blew me away! At that time it was not for sale but last week he decided to sell it so I had to jump on it because I knew an offer like this would not come again anytime soon. And it came at the right time too. The weather is starting to get really nice and we've been searching for a second form of transportation so we can spend half as many hours at the mall. Seeing as neither of Chris's other bikes are running right now he'll be using it until I learn to ride.
Speaking of learning to ride, today was my first (real) attempt at riding a motorcycle. The last time was short lived and ended up in a big argument. SO this time we both went into it very calm and took an extra dose of patience this morning. Surprisingly, it went very well! It was scary at first, but after you get used to where things are and what you're supposed to press when it gets a little easier. I think I did pretty good for my first time! I hit over a little over 20mph and only killed it a few times ;).
All in all it was tons of fun. I can't wait to learn more and go faster!
