This weekend I got to spend some quality time with my mom making Save the Dates for our wedding! Now that we have the date and place things seem to be going a lot smoother, which means I can spend more time on getting creative with not only design but materials and budget.

I'm EXTREMELY happy with the way the Save the Dates turned out. I can't believe I got the results I did with the amount of time and money spent.

Here's what the total tally came to:

Magnet Sheets - 3 packs = $18.47
Heart Punch = $14.99
Double sided tape = $1.95
Stamps = $52.50
Envelopes = $12

Total for 120 save the dates = $99.91

The funny part is, the stamps cost just as much as the materials!

But full assembly including printing, cutting, trimming, taping, and stuffing took only about 6 hours total. Thanks to my mom, dad, and chris we got them done in one night and sent them right away Monday morning. People starting getting them early this week and the compliments came flooding in! It's so nice to hear what everybody thinks.

The best part is I got to spend lots of time with my mom, got to make something both crafty and thrifty at the same time, and they came out exactly the way I'd hoped!

Thanks everyone for the wonderful comments!
