Over the past month we've been trying to narrow down a place for our wedding. It's been quite an adventure! We've found some places we really like and some we really don't. But all and all it's been pretty fun searching around trying to find the right spot. Yesterday we toured 3 more places, and I think we may have found the one. What we really want in a place is something unique and non-traditional. Something that really fits our needs including capacity, location, and budget.

We started our search in Milwaukee and expanded to Oconomowoc, Lomira, and Columbus. Then, after taking a closer look at our needs and revising our budget we researched some places in Ripon and Madison.

After discovering real costs of food, drinks, and other details we made the decision to ask Chris's aunt to cater our food, which will help us control our budget as well as allow us to have a little more control over what we want and don't want. Since Chris's aunt's restaurant is in Madison, the decision was made to search for places around the Madison area. We took a look at a few of them today and really loved one of them because of it's unique style and modern architecture. We also liked the location and the option to bring in our own catering.

I think I may have said this last month, but we're hoping to make a decision by the end of the month. Although it didn't happen last month, we did learn a lot about the searching process and a lot about what we really want to spend our money on, ie what's really important to us, and what doesn't really matter as much to us. Here's some pictures from our adventures.
