This weekend we decided to stay around MKE (rare these days) because we were both feeling a little under the weather and wanted to do some projects around the house. Saturday was pretty decent weather so we decided to enjoy it while it lasted and head to Sheboygan for some shots of the lake. We also went to Hobby Lobby (yay!) and I'm hoping to spend this weekend experimenting with more craft projects.

The water was beautiful! It was mostly ice but the way the pieces moved back and forth was quite calming. We only lasted a little bit because of how cold it was but I managed to get a few decent shots of the lake and the giant boat in the distance. Sunday I met a good friend at Cafe Benelux in MKE's 3rd ward / for a DELICIOUS brunch (creme brulle french toast = yum!) and was able to scope out some locations for an upcoming engagement shoot with an Urban/Industrial feel.

I find it ironic that at the beginning of last year I made it a goal to "take more pictures of people" but here I am setting a goal this year to "take more pictures of things & nature" along with more people of course... :)

Here's some of my favorites from the day:
