wedding excitement!

Now that the stress and work of finding the perfect location and perfect date is over I've gotten some time to move onto the brighter side of wedding planning. It's been very exciting researching and coming up with ideas for invites, save the dates, and decorations. One of my biggest goals throughout this process besides having fun has been to be able to get creative and crafty with a lot of this stuff without spending a ton of unnecessary money. This weekend I found some really cool print and assemble type invitations at Target for $6 for 50 invitations. Not only do they match my colors but they are completely customizable. I can trade out the ribbon for lace or buttons, or replace the paper with a different style or color - the possibilities are endless.

This Saturday I got to spend the day with my mom window shopping for ideas at Target and Michaels. We checked out flowers, different ideas for colors, and of course spent some time in the Wedding aisle. I had a wonderful time hanging out just my mom and I, and it was really nice to just go out and get ideas without any pressure to make decisions or purchases.

I also had a great time this weekend shopping for bridesmaid dresses with two of my bridesmaids Colleen and Katie. They found some really cute dresses and the best part is they are each a little different so each bridesmaid can have their own style & color dress. The colors are gorgeous, a very organic palette which compliments the plans for the rest of the decor. I'm really excited to go again this weekend with my other two bridesmaids Kayla and Kelsey!

All in all things are going really great. There's definitely been a lot less stress the past couple weeks so the planning has turned from a chore into something I can't wait to come home and work on each night. And we are really flying through our to-do list which will give us a chance to pace ourselves this summer and actually enjoy the rest of the planning. I can't believe our big day is less than 6 months away!
