Ladybugs.

Lately, Sydnee has been hooked on a few new things. One of those things happens to be ladybugs! She has always been fascinated with them since she was little but recently she got a ladybug pillow pet for her birthday and has been obsessed with anything ladybug since.

Last week she found one crawling around my parents house and was so excited she wanted to take it to school with her. So after letting it crawl around her hand for a while we found a container to keep it in. It was so cute she packed it up in her backpack to show her friends at school and even packed up a little blanket to keep it warm. 

What's really cute is she gets so protective over them. For example my mom said oh just shoo it outside when she found the ladybug and Sydnee said "No! Ladybugs are nice Aunt Kari." And when Chris is playing around with her sometimes he'll say, "The ladybug is going to bite you!" (meaning her ladybug pillow pet) and she'll say "No! Ladybugs don't bite, they are nice!" It's so funny.

Her fascination and wonder with nature and insects is so amazing. So we got her a cute little ladybug game and a little ladybug she can take with her from place to place for Christmas. We can't wait to see her face light up when she opens them!
