For the past couple weeks (as I'm sure most of you have been too), we've been getting ready for Christmas! And by we I mean Sydnee and I. Sydnee stayed with us the majority of last week, so we had the chance to make some decorations, put up a few trees (one here and a few at my parents) and celebrate the holidays and being together.

We started with our tree. I had put it up that afternoon so when Syds came over she was all ready to hang the ornaments. She did a really good job, but after she clustered the ornaments all into one place on the side of the tree we decided we needed more. So we went to Target (of course) to get some more ornaments and ended up getting some stockings to decorate also. We decided to use some of Sydnee's art projects from school to use as decorations as well.

She also got to help my parents decorate their tree the next night where she learned to sing "Happy Merry Christmas" over and over. It's so fun to watch because she does a little dance along with it. My parents also love to spoil her (go figure) so Sydnee has her own pink tree at their house. She spent the night and the next day with Chris and I making ornaments out of paper for her tree. She made a spongebob, a santa, a snowmen, and even a "tito & tita" ornament.

Then we convinced her to put her Christmas dress on so we could take some pictures. It's always an adventure trying to get a 5 year old to sit still for longer than a few minutes, but with the help of Tito showing her how to pose we managed to get some good shots. All around it was a great time, and Sydnee really enjoys being able to help make everyone's season a little brighter!
