It could've been because of the intimate moments before the ceremony with their family and friends, or maybe it was John goofing up the vows and making everyone laugh, or maybe it was everyone in the church singing as the newlyweds and bridal party danced and sung down the aisle during the recessional, or maybe it was the sister of the bride carrying her walking partner on her back as they entered for their grand march. Well wait a second, I think it may have been when John shoved cake all over Tara's face with people yelling "Get her John" in the background, no.. I think it may have been when Grandma Gilbride came and took a drink out of her SHOE in honor of her granddaughter's wedding day. But really when you think about it may have been the first dance to Dean Martin, or the abundance of people swarming the dance floor laughing and singing and jumping up and down. Or maybe it was the anniversary dance and Grandma & Grandpa's key advice to a successful marriage-"I don't know." Really it may have just been the simple fact that this couple is ABSOLUTELY perfect for each other. Yes. I think that might be the one! ;)

Tara and I grew up together - and when I say that I mean she was my first real friend in school, lived in my back yard, and we practically did everything together growing up. So I was incredibly honored when Tara asked me to photograph one of the best days of her life. This wedding was so incredibly personal and there were so many perfect moments that the day just could not be better. From the couple hours I got to know John I could tell these two are too great for each other - everything was just so in sync and they are so in tune with each other and their families it was a truly beautiful thing.

When my husband & I left the wedding, we left with this amazing feeling of happiness, comfort, and love. We were both just incredibly well entertained through out the whole day. It was so incredible that it is still hard for me to put into words. I think I'll try to describe it in pictures instead ;)

Thank you Tara & John for letting me be a part of your incredible day!

  1. These pictures are just awesome! My favorite is Tara and John sitting on the bench! Tara could be a model for that dress in a bride's magazine! Very beautiful pictures!
