I really just wanted to give you all an update on our lives in general before we get sucked into wedding land :)
First off - some exciting news: Chris is starting a new career at Kohl's corporate! The offer came through just last week and like I did 3 months ago he's decided to take a leap of faith and accept. While it will be sad leaving Apple completely, both of us felt in our hearts that this was the best decision. I am so very proud of Chris and his accomplishments and know this job will be AMAZING for him. Not to mention the perks for us - working the same hours & having weekends off together, meaning more time together and no more nights alone with those 2-11 shifts. New careers? New life together? What an amazing year it has been so far.
I've been at my new job for about 3 months right now and I have to tell you - it's pretty awesome doing something you're passionate about everyday. When I graduated college, I never imagined myself to be a "Web Designer" but here I am, 1 year and 3 months later creating websites for businesses all over the continent! I'm really enjoying it - I get to be on the computer, designing and building websites from pretty much everyday. I'm also enjoying learning all about html and creating custom codes for my sites (something I've been promising myself to do since before I even started college) So all is well here!
As you've probably noticed I've been doing some photo shoots for experience and really just for fun right now! I have no idea where this will take me but for right now it's very exciting for me and all my little models have been AMAZING! (Let me know if you are interested, I will definitely have some time available after the wedding :)) I also shot a wedding this weekend with Jaynee Peterson Photography and had so much fun! I can't wait to share some pictures and hopefully will get the opportunity to do it again sometime :)
Wedding planning is going great, but we are entering the stressful time where it's time to make decisions on all the little details. Most of it is just a lack of time thing but for the most part everything is really coming along! I won't bore you with the details though :P But do check out our website for all the important info!
Life is pretty good right now. Busy & stressful at times but who's isn't. All I know is I'm beyond excited for our wedding and know everything will turn out great as long as we've got our family and friends there to help us celebrate.
Again, I can't thank those of our friends and family enough for all of the support and understanding during these busy months!
